Toyne Family Honey

We get stung, so you don’t have to!

Our first and most interesting product! Our hives are blocks from the University of Miami arboretum where hundreds of exotic sub-tropical trees combine to give a unique red color and savory flavor! In 2013 we harvested 120 pounds. In 2014, we hope for more and to have a special “Holiday Edition” packaging.

Coral Gables Wildflower Honey

This honey comes from Florida’s famous Indian River orange groves from February to April. A wonderful citrus scent and flavor. Great for teas and breakfast. A perennial favorite.

Indian River Orange Blossom Honey

A uniquely Miami honey. Lychee is a light honey from the exotic Lychee tree. It blooms with avocado, a very dark rich honey, late January to early March. Our colonies are on 5 acres of lychee in Homestead surrounded by avocado groves.

Lychee and Avocado Honey

A lighter honey with a unique, slightly woody flavor. Not as well known as Tupulo honey, which comes from the swamps near Tallahassee up into Georgia, but favorite among honey connoisseurs and claimed to be Florida’s oldest honey. Florida’s Central and Southern savannahs provide this honey in late April to May.

Saw Palmetto Honey

The twins’ favorite honey! Has a tangy flavor somewhat similar to clover honey, but is an acquired taste, this late season honey comes from Florida’s “Brazilian Pepper” tree.

The Queen Bee makes 6” beeswax candles and we have Beeswax (we melt in our solar wax melter) and propolis (which we use as a preservative dip for our bee boxes)

A mid-weight honey from South Florida’s mangroves with wildflowers in it. It is one of the major honey flows in the year and another honey unique to Florida.
